I was worried at first but it seems to look better than ever. Also great job on the main gun.

Oh ****! Those idiots did it.
I really like this. The old screens of the sharlin make it look a little too "grown", but this makes the ship look very GRRRR!

Hey Capt white I'm almost finished retexturing the Omega with the new textures and per face texturing, I will probably send it to you tomorrow a bit after lunch time, so pay attention to your mail.
It should give an idea how I will texture for the MOD as soon I start doing it for real.
Its not intended for the MOD because the mesh has quite a few issues (might be needed a completely new one), although it looks very darn cool (it prety much outclasses the one I showed a couple months back).
hope it wont take your concentration away from your work!
Well talk more about it in a apropriate time.
i was fairly impressed last time haderak...not with the textures themselves (to low res) but your effciency was good. you needed to add more detail to it, but EA ships are a pain in the but i think.
cant wait for you to start helping me out
once i recieve the e-mail i will e-mail you a nice link

This time I'm using textures of much greater quality, it almost looks like a 3d fotograph, to give you an idea, I have even textured the front main guns shownig pipes, holes and other smaller details!!! the only problem is that this one might be much heavier for slower systems, 9 texures 7 of wich are 512x512!!
By the way one of the team sayd (I cant remenber who, possibly Icefire if my memory does not fail me) 256x256 was the max res for FS2 but 512x512 do work... whats the deal?
I didn't say that. I did say that some/most Voodoo cards don't support that kind of texture resolution so you should try and optomize your textures. CptWhite can help you at this I'm sure

Actually...something has come up, about texture size limitations in ALL cards. We're still in the final stages of researching the thing...
I didn worry much about texture optimization since untill now I have only done 'unoficial work' plus 512x512 apears to work fine for MOST of us here so I didnt take in consideration those issues.
Of course the story will be different when texturing for the masses.
Besides someone will probabbly supply me optimized textures, as I'm not a picasso at making texture art.
