Multi-target combat vessels?

I think that a ship that's something the size of an Isis, with 6-8 fast-firing anti-fighter turrets would be a welcome addition, since it's pretty manevourable, fast enough, and it can even defend itself and other ships decently from fighters, unlike any other capship, and it seems like the most logical addition to the GTVA fleets, which are always sensitive against surgical fighter srtikes, and this seems like the most reasonable measure against them (sentries obviously are too weak, and cruisers are too vulnerable to bomber attacks, yet this ship is fast enough to evade normal bombs).

Oh, and Ace, FreeSpace: Masequerade season 1 episode 1 and season 3 episode 3 are infected with a virus (at least norton antivirus reported that they are).

Actually they have no viruses, some older word 97 files sometimes get read by virus scanners as viruses (I recently had this problem when sending over a document to Styxx via E-Mail)

If you're still paranoid that it is a virus, run it through a virus fixer and the document shouldn't be corrupted from it.

how about an upgrade on the erinyes?? or a new interceptor like Bobboau's Mercury u know fuse all 3 species technology into one and make it a kicken fighter, but make the bays a little larger and the weps a little stronger. also waht about a ship that can change IFF traansponders and/ or stealth on adn off. or maybe a missile fighter, it just launches a continous stream of missile at a target for a short time. good fer those dang manticores and azaroths(not hard to kill just fast) also good fer light caps

You don't need to have a new ship to change IFF transponders... thank the GTVI for that "Trust us Alpha 1!"

As for a missile bearing ship, it's more than a possibility...

id like to see a Vulcan gun or a baby rail gun as a secondary weapon. it would carry a very large amount of ammo, and have a very nice rate of fire. it would be great for dogfights as a supliment to the primary weapons banks since it is an ungided weapon.

What I really want to see is a missile, that while it does almost no damage, has a shockwave, and every ship in that shockwave is thrown back, but I mean really thrown back, as in 500 game meters. it's the ideal way to delay a bomber strike, since the computer has a strange talent of locking those cyclopses even when he's being rattled by normal missile fire.

The Flail/Morningstar and the EMP warheads can more than ruin their day

Still, a form of disruption warhead (non EMP) will be available.
