Your projected file size isn't at all unreasonable, especially with game downloads on the internet today that exceed 100MB. It's just that having smaller, manageable packages calms and mollifies some of us more intimidated people.

(just joking)

BTW, are there any plans for making missions in hyperspace (B5 hyperspace, that is). Doing some edits to Freespace's subspace texture might turn out a nice effect, or possibly even to the nebula graphics.

Damn... this board never sleeps! I was here not 5 minutes ago, and read all of the posts, come back now, and 3 more topics are full!

You people are worse than I am...

Hehe, you should see the VBB. With the sudden rush of newbie waves it's practically impossible to get what's going on, which is why I'm content to spend my time here instead. I dunno if things are still as hectic around there as they were a month ago as I haven't been there in some time.

Well , I don't know how the component system will be like in detail.

Personally , I am one of these "IWANNAHAVEEVERYTHING" guys and since the days of GoZilla nothing less is acceptable for me !
Well, I'm on 56 k , but who cares ?

It can be just me but I think this board is quite silent...

If we have time, we may have a standard installer program that will allow you to install and uninstall components of the mod as you choose.

But for the more experienced MODder like myself, im content to just place the files in a new /data tree and tweak it that way. Both options should probably be available.

Mr Fury...are you actually involved in the mod ? What are you doing ?

Posted by Mr. Fury on 04-11-2001 07:10 PM:

Yes, right now I am doing story for Drazi campaign and sometimes I do some testing.

Almost all of us knows basics of FS2 modding, but we have to think about "normal" player (still any? ) who does not know hell of tables or like, they needs the installer program. Otherwise this board gets hundereds of "How do I install the mod?" topics. Let's save our nerves and do this easy way.

CptWhite, just curious why you asked.
