Tim Hortons, only the greatest coffee and donut shop on the planet. Its a Canadian Icon...like the CN Tower. There are a few in the states, but most Canadian towns (like mine) have at least 2 of the places and sometimes three. There are about 60 total in my regional area.

Yeah...we've got some of those around too. Most of those are on major freeways and whatnot.

Hey, that was mean!

And all your regional jet planes are belong to us!

Posted by IceFire on 03-28-2001 03:19 PM:

Fine take Westjet and Canada 3000! We've still got the massive Air Canada evil corporation.

Posted by Charger on 03-29-2001 03:23 AM:

hey, not that i am defending the canadians, but thos canadair regional jets are really something. until you fly on one, don't say anything. when i flew on one i was shocked that there is so much sound proofing and the engines are so quiet, that all of the noise from the engines are dorned out by the air conditioning. now, if a passenger aircraft made by a company in YOUR country can do that, then and only then may you bash the canadair regional jet.

and no, i am not on crack at this time.

Yes, a company in my country can do that. Ever heard of Embraer, and it's ERJ 145 jets?

But this is not the point, my comment was just to make some fun over that silly commercial dispute between Brazil and Canada over subsidies provided respectively to Embraer and Bombardier...

Hey Ice, I finally found out where that Tim Horton's in Dayton is that you went to. Unfortunatly I passed it up for some good ole' American White Castle. You can't go wrong with a fast food place where you can buy 40 cheeseburgers for $20.

oh, and no styxx, while i have heard the name embreair before (i am an avid fs200 pilot who freaquents www.flightsim.com for extra air craft) i have never heard of that one. but, look on the bright side, now you can bash the canadair regional jet to your haerts content

by the way, incase your interested in flight simulation, www.flightsim.com supports just about all of the flight simulators on the market all the way back to fs4 along with microsofts two combat flight simulators.

FYI, Embraer original aircraft design aren't that great... Look at the E110, Banderante. Also the Embraer Regional Jet is only a copy of the Bombardier Aeronautics (previously known as Canadair) Regional Jet. About the Brazilian and Canadian dispute about subsidies of aircrafts began with the brazilians. The Canadians didn't say a thing at first but when then saw that the Embraer had subsidies form the brazilian governmentm decided to do the same, not as a provocation to Brazil but in a way to keep their market. But still, Regional Jet, which is from Canadiair and a trademark, Embraer shouldn't use those terms (copyrights issues).

I AM CANADIAN

P.S:Sorry for the Americans who watched "Rick Mercer's Talking to Americans" got insulted, but it wasnt meant to you.

That was a great hour of laughs. I was trying to see if some of the questions were canned and leading the people on, but come off it, that many people saying stuff like that

Its more of an insult to us Canadians that our American friends are so totally ignorant of our culture.

I do however know that many of the Americans I talk to online are less ignorant or all together well informed on Canada which is good.
