i mean, who knows, earth could have fallen into anarchy and the rise of a tyrant soon solve that with a 3rd Reich like scheme (RE: Adolph Hitler)

and the vasudans that came through the node just before it colapsed were probably made a effective scape goat and then executed as a result. With the fact that the term "united Sol" is going around, i can see the "USS" or "USM" abbreviations coming back in force for sol's forces.
