The thing is, theres no way of knowing if the GTVA has some backup plans with the Hades, but I remember reading somewhere that the plans were on a ship and the ship was destroyed... Though I'm not sure completely...

Well if that true how say how many GTI base there were there could have been more then 1 base. even in FS2 i relly did not trust the GTVI i suprised the GTVA does i woulden if i was them.

Dredhawk either can't spell to save his life or he can't use a keyboard properly?

try it some time, in fs2, Hades Vs Fenris see what happens i dare ya.

it would be kind of like "David and Goliath"

I don't think the Hades plans were destroyed.

I think what you might be thinking of Snipes is the fact that everything to do with GTI research at Jotunhiem including the Hades was classified Level Omega, available only to the members of the GTVA security council. Direct adaptation of Shivan technology has been banned for research on. A gun like the Kayser was probably built on emperical evidence rather than taking apart a Shivan laser.

Posted by Snipes on 01-27-2001 03:31 AM:

I'm not sure where I read it, or if it was even the plans for the Hades. It may have been the plans for the Iceni, come to think of it...

Anywho... It's not important.

And I will make a mission, a Hades vs. a Fenris. This'll be good for 20 seconds of beam folley.

Posted by Ace on 01-27-2001 04:16 AM:

The plans for the Iceni were destroyed with the fall of the NTF.

Almost all of the GTI's research on Shivan biology was lost with the destruction of Jotunhiem.

However, there are certain individuals who ensured the alliance's not adapting Shivan technology directly.

...I can also assure you that these certain individuals also have plans which are on a much larger scale than any could imagine...

Are you serious? A Fenris vs. a Hades?

A Fenris vs. a Hades?!

...

A Fenris?!

i wouldn't mind to see a pretty larg and devastating ship, the flagship of the entire GTVA fleet (not the colossus)you know, something that doesn't look like a oversized gun.

Posted by George on 01-27-2001 10:04 AM:

well how about a ship which has an oversized engine, the front could be reinforced so it could ram ships while getting only minor damage.

Posted by Mr Carrot on 01-27-2001 12:04 PM:

by the plans for the icini you mean etak?

because in derelict we have the cypher, and the frigate class shows that it is very competent, thus it would be a shame to build no more of them.

No the plans to build the Iceni. The Iceni was built in the Freedom Shipyards in Polaris, according to the plans made by Admiral Aken Bosch. When the Iceni switched over to the NTF, the plans were on a cruiser which was destroyed by the GTVA. Or so I think, I read it somewhere... ETAK plans were downloaded off the Iceni before it blew. Or atleast in my campaign, I managed to save the Iceni...
