Um, why don't you just use the PC that you got the copy of FS1 from? A P3 should have no problems running it and it's just for one game.

Why wont patching work? If the patch overwrites the exe and the exe has the special secret ninja code that makes it work only on certain machines then it will fix it. But if it writes the special secret ninja stuff in the registry... well, it still might help, but maybe not.

Did you know you could get an evaluation version of Windows NT 4.0 and if you applied the service pack the evaluation period would disappear?

Cheeky Technically you can get a patch to overwrite near enough anything, the problem is in most cases it isn't practical.

It's not that the P3 can't handle it, it's that it's not my PC. It's my parents, and my dad has no concept of hard drive space, he thinks a Mb is as much as a gb, and that you have to delete stuff from your hard drive to get more memory...

Anywho, I will try a patch and se if it works, though it probably won't since the newest version of fs1 is 1.06, and thats what i've got.

And yes, it was bundled software...
