Oh hush Shrike the Bastion has beams that can take out a Lucifer in 1 1/2 hit(s) now gues what, it has 4 of them at the nose

Needed to cut off the nodes to the Sathanas fleet! and no its not like a SATHANAS, boct read my prio post, it has 4 beams on the nose, it doesnt make it look like a sathanas

The way it was worded made it sound like he thought that the Sathanases were DIRECTLY responsible for it. Using it to kamikaze-seal the node was an INDIRECT thing.

Was the Bastion II Inspired by the Sathanas' unweilding power? OR was it created as a backwards Vasudan idea to bring jobs to a shattered race?

In layman's terms... Why (In the fs2 story [I hope your going to integrate it]) did this ship come into existence?

The Bastion has beams (4) each of which do roughly 550,000 damage per cycle?

And what good is that kind of weapons outfit?

Bastion shows up, everything dies

ho hum.....fun mission there.

DUDE!If you where traveling THROUGH fing Shivan Space I think you would want that kind of power, plus i was exaderating a little, 2 hits or more im not sure on the specs...but it is going up against more powerfull than the darkness in your dreams.

Sooo......in essence, it's the Battle of Endor compacted into one ship. hmm...

Sorry I'm so negative, but I'm a big fan of game balancing, and what I hear (it may be offbase) is that this thing can blow up one of the toughest ships in the game in a couple shots. And it needs that firepower to blow up the Shivans you run into. So in essence, Alpha 1 become some neglected piece of space junk, because the destructive forces being tossed around are so ridiculously large that he has no way of doing anything much constructive.

Now you have a VERY VERY good point there. But if you where me youd know the whole plot of Descent of Evil and how the missions play out. Ok, well there is a limited shots for the beams of the bastion, so they are used wisely, 2 of the 5 real missions thats all. What the Bastion will be attacking in one of those missions is a very bad bad thing, not powerfull but hard to destroy, and it will have plenty of ships on its back. There will be no support for the bastion to refeul, reload, ect. Now your aspect of taking away from Alpha1, there is one more ship with you, a science vessel that will be easily destroyed, you will have to cover her back three times as well as other things. The Bastion WILL BE destroyed if you do not help her in 3 of 5 missions, note: she is in 4 of 5 missions, the one you dont have to cover her, she is an onlocker to the battle. If you do not interact with the mission, she will be destroyed, it is not invincible, am going to ask about tuning the weapons down tonight, but lets go threw the missions 1 by 1.

Mission1-You escort the Bastion(cant tell you much)but she will al least be takenm down to 90 if you do good, at least, if you dont help out, she will die.

Mission2-remember she is at 90%...
*Stuff* takes her down to 50%

Mission3-wont hurt her

Mission4-Wont hurt her

Mission5-By the end of this mission even if you do do your best she will be at 10%

any comments suggestions, i like this convo, i want to answer yoyur questions
