-- Anyone notice how the female pilots are always told to "shut up"? (http://volitionwatch.papageorgefamily/vwbb/showthread.php?threadid=8496)

Question Anyone notice how the female pilots are always told to "shut up"?

I don't know if it's just me, or what...but, I think I first noticed this in FS1, starting with the Shivan boarding scene, where the female soldier is told to keep quiet. But, it seems, in FS2, every time a female pilot talks, she'll always be told to "shut up". This happens in the first nebula mission while looking for the Trinity, then happens several more times in some other missions...

And a number of times the male pilots get told to shut up and take orders too. I don't see a disparity...

...I'm glad we see and continue to see female pilots represented in these games.

"If command needs your opinion, they'll promote you to admiral. Now shut up and focus" - Zeta 2 (I think) to Alpha 3.

That's the only time I can remember, but I haven't played the main campaign for quite some time.

Personally, I always put in a semi-stern "Focus, pilots" from command instead, because the player's less likely to shoot back at that.

My point is if another pilot told me to shut up, I'd probably turn round and fire at him so much that there wouldn't be two molecules of him left to rub together.

So I think a little bit of diplomacy's in order...

At least over the comm.

And then you`d get court martialed and shot. Was it really worth it?

If I remeber correctly, there was one part when a she-pilot babbled about his grandfather serving the Bastion and is told to stay focused after the "family history".
