Cool Brakiri Tashkat (HW)

I havent released this to the team yet as I need more input from the team & fellow modders!
This is a render of the sorta finished (Tashkat ), I'm not too sure if I like it tho...
more like a beta...

A fan model I based it on...

And an ingame shot...(subject to change)

The texture lighting seems to be a byproduct from using the smoothing function in HWSE 138, a kind of rainbow affect. I tried to duplicate the green color from Max Paine's Avioki bu I think I'v stumbled onto a hullrust affect instead. this is a HomeWorld model, but I might consider allowing it's use in the FreeSpace environment.

All comments are welcome .

What's the ship's role? A cruiser?

Hmh, and why it looks like the ship has much longer nose in in-game pictures?

Otherwise, I think it's pretty good.

Cool

822 Poly's & yes, there's a smoothing function in HWSE. as for the slender/elongated appearance.... the conversion to HW/PEO format does have a tendency to do some changes due to texture limitations, max @ 256 by 256 pixels.

822 is good. It looks very good for 822. Probably the 256x256 would be bad for FreeSpace 2 if we were to import it. Ships like the Omega have a couple of 512x512's backed up by some smaller sized ones.

The model of this ship I'd say!

And don't worry about the color! It looks perfect to me.
Why shouldn't it look a little rusty. That makes it more realistic in my eyes.
Yes I know there is no water and air in space! But the radiation of a spezial star or a neblua could have had that effect to the hull.

Drop the "special", space is hostile enough as it is. Even Jupiter has huge radiation fields around it! It's a place full of wonders and unimaginable things, you rarely need to make anything up, really...
