what would be the...

...the most kewlest thing that could of been added to Freespace 2?

for example damage on the ships like a hole punched right through a ship from some kind of super beams kind of like the Freespace 2 intro... (galatea)

or the possibility that you could actually run around the ship and be the leader of it and control where you would think be nessary for the fleet to move and you could make money and build more ships I think that would be totally kewl! controling like an orion or hecate or somthing drastic like... backstabing the vasudans lol! thats what i would like to see or i think would be a kewl "extra" to fs!

please post your suggestions on here if you would like and... maybe even post somthin drastic that is possible to do with the stuff we have now..

The Orion in the fs2 intro was the GTD Legion, not the Galatea.

There was a sweet effects source code MOD on this forum, let me dig it up for you.

Here it is, .Komet's MOD

Anyway, fighterbeams, and fighterflak. Which have been added. Bump mapping, which is almost done. GeoMOD, which is never going to happen.

Check the HLP SCP forum, if you want sweet stuff, that's the place to be. Sweet stuff for the SCP I mean, not MODs in general.

You want to control fleets. Play Conquest: Frontier Wars.

Everything else that is going into Source Code is pretty much what I want.

The GTD Legion... I'm not sure if it was this movie or the one with introducing the Colossus midgame, but we had a 23 page disucssion on whether a ship was the Galatea in one of the cutscenes. Here was the long debate we had over that, but existance is only the least thing we should be talking about./

The ship is definately the GTD Legion. That was confirmed by Adam Pletcher and Dave Baranec a long time ago in a thread very far far away....

ie. the VBB

Planetary missions, or at least missions in low orbit. I'd love to enter Cygnus Prime's atmosphere in a Myrmidon, or a Serapis, or Enryines(sp?), take out an NTF base, then head back to space. But since the Shivans aren't terrestrial, and most of the time, you're fighting them, those types of missions would be few and far in between. Oh, well.

Is it a matter of WHERE... or when...

"In a thread a long time ago..." That doesnt sound as good as "far far away."

what do you mean different jump points sigma?

Posted by BananaOfTheNight on 11-09-2002 11:08 PM:

I think that he means the yellow jump point colouring for a ship entering hyperspace and the blue jump point colour for a ship leaving hyperspace in Babylon 5, ~[)ragon~. Understandable, as Sigma957 is a part of TBP and I bet that they would just love to see that authentic B5 experience!
