Ships from original Fs2...

Hey i have some questions about the already existing ships...

1)Will they have their weapons altered in any way? (ie.having the orion's triple laser turrets replaced with flak guns) or will they remain the same?

2)Will there be any change in their models or skins?

3)Will any ships be removed?

Sorry if this post is classified as spam but the board seems to be to quiet lately

Note: That pretty much everything you saw in FS2 is still there. We've got other ships with changes that are separate...for instance...the Sol versions of some fighters and bombers are slightly modified (visually and with stats) compaired to the GTVA versions.

Deadly enough. Will the Athenas and Apollos have new protrusions from their hulls or whatever (e.g., an Athena with a heavy cannon hastily bolted to the top?)

No.

We have new ships to do that.

As far as adjustments to GTVA ships go, there are a couple of those as well. The Hecate, for example has been made into the vessel it always should have been, not some wimpy-ass thing. It's a bit faster, has better broadside cannons and may be a bit tougher too.

You know, I expected a 30 year old destroyer wouldn't be able to beat the Hecate one on one, but it did. This applies to both of them, I think

Yes but for all of the Orion's "firepower" its very vulnerable to even a wing of fighters. I'd much rather attack an Orion with a heavy bomber than a Hecate (which will take you down).

However, the Hecate has had a minor change to its firepower bringing it up to a far more even level.
