Favourite science-fiction books
As I have noticed, many people here like science fiction; me included. So here is a thread to discuss favourite books and writers. Here`s a few of my favourite`s; what about you others?
1: Gateway by Frederick Pohl
2: The Space Odyssey series by Arthur C. Clarke.
3: Dune-series by Frank Herbert
4: The Ender-series by Orson Scott Card.
Stargazer.

Star Wars
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
I've been meaning to read Odyssey and Dune for some time now, but I've never gotten around to it.

no library around me has ever had Gateway. They just had the other books in the series. Is it worth buying?

Ender series, then Dune.
Wonder if FS fanfic would classify as sci-fi "book".

I like Honor Harrington. Hey, is the new one out yet? Is there going to be a new one. The Manties were kicking ass with their new missiles and then there was "peace" last I read.

Weber's done other work aside from Honor; I like everything I've read of his (which is, uh, all of it
)
Oops, I haven't read Shiva Option (on the list) and another new one this year called The Excalibur Alternative. Ooo!
As for Zahn, yes. His newest work is called Angelmass, I believe. Came out last year? I'm not sure, but I want it.
Ice: Last Honor Harrington one I read (spoilers! SO STOP READING YOUS)
...
...
....
....
..
..
.
Anyway the last one I read was Ashes of Victory where Honor's back from liberating everyone on Hell, and is back home recuperating and catching up on politics or whatnot, and then at the end there's some old-school Weber ass-kickin' in space.
