My rendered images

Hello all,

Just a couple of images I rendered.

The first one shows a wing of Hercules-class fighters escorting an Aeolus cruiser.

The second is a retextured Moloch-class vessel, to give it a more organic look. I've done this because it gave the Shivans a more realistic appearance.

I originally want to post it on the VBB, but I noticed that it went offline some time ago. I haven't been near the VBB or any other Freespace/Volition universe-based site since quite some time now. That's because of my study and work.

Oh Ashrak, if I tell you were I got those models, someone is going to spam/harass me or/and you! So I keep it silent for now...

BTW Does anyone noticed the transparency in the Moloch, take a closer look!

And if you ask me WHY I want it to be transparent, than this is my answer:

The Shivans are to be believed to have superieur technology. This is expressed in awesome weaponry AND stealth. To be efficiÃ«ntly and effectively in the latter one, the Shivans are to be almost visioually (is this the right spelling?) undetectable (invisible). So they have some sort of cloaking device. I have lent this idea from Babylon 5, wherein those mysterious Schadows momentarly vanishes off the scene, or (what about) the Predators from the analogous movie (nice movie though (and game AvP2)).

Offcourse, this is just my vision/opinion/interpretation.

If you've readt my last reply: here are some more images to show you what I'm suggesting.

Here's a comparison between a Mara and a "cloaked" Mara-class fighter.

A lone Hercules-class fighter UNAWARE of his pursuiing predator.

Actually, those Hercs aren't copied-and-pasted, though it seemed like they are.

But GalacticEmperor, you have got a point there. I'll take that into account in my future/upcoming works.
