possible typo?

In the GTF Banshee description on the website, you say it has a fission drive? I thought GTVA propulsion was based on fusion reactors. Or is this a technological evolution the general public is not yet aware of?

bah, fusion, fission, it's still a nuclear reaction. a variant, just like for nukes, i suppose

So, you're saying the Banshee is powered by a small self-sustaining nuclear bomb?

no lol, I say nothing -I just provided the ship, I didn't write the fluff -, but you do know nuclear powerplants uses fusion right? so why not fission?

I keep up with technology, and at current we haven't been able to make a self-sustaining fusion reaction that can generate power in excess of what goes into starting it up...at least not yet. I live not 30 miles from a nuclear power plant. It is a fission-core plant that the military uses to manufacture tritium, y'know, the third-isotope hydrogen that is used in fusion bombs?

If fusion power generation is perfected, there will be a definite media frenzy covering the thing. They've come close, but the reaction simply won't sustain itself. And though it's completely unrelated, a spinoff technology is a "repulsor field" that effectively negates gravity. It's a small chamber (about 8 cm across) that is in the center of an A-1 Supar powerful electromagnet. Scientists managed to suspend a frog in midair, and the thing didn't have any adverse effects afterwards.

Anyways, this has nothing to do with a typo on the webpage. But it is cool.

well that isn't any more anti gravity than a normal magnet and metal, everything is magnetic just some things are REALY magnetic and most things arn't. and GTVA systems are some sort of fusion.

ok so the frog was in mid air (anti-grav) how about the frog being squashed against the reactor 2 times harder than normal (enhanced grav)?

it isn't anti-gravity, the force of gravity is still acting on the frog, it's just the force of magnetism is acting on it in the oposite direction at the same level

Fusion is more efficient, more powerful, and produces less waste. I would not be inclined to believe that any ship is powered by fission in the FS universe.
