kazan seems we might both be right about the smoothing problme , its not your converter...this thing apparently happens in original volition models, but not all of them.....doubt you would be willing to research why though

Newsgroups are your friends. alt.binaries.multimedia.babylon5 or whatever...you can find caps (each episode ~100mb) there.
Or, try a P2P app...

I'm trying to collect every single episode - I'll be getting a new hard drive for this - so I might just come back to you guys later.
I'll probably get my collection finished when the DVDs hit the streets.
I've got ~80% of the episodes covered, just 'filling in the gaps' will be a pain in the ass.
Anyone got Chrysalis?
