WEBSITE NOW UP AND RUNNING!!!!!

In all due time...that T-Bolt still doesn't have LODing yet. So it makes things run a bit slow....plus were not just releasing one or two new models in the next release...its a whole compliment of models. It takes time.

Yes, no individual releases. All comes in one neat package in the fullness of time.

Look what you have done now! Because your way of think Analazon has died (peace to his soul)! In this case I must use Aku Soku Zan (Kill Evil Instantly) to justice what I'm going to do! Like Garibaldi said to Mollari: "Have a nice dreams"...

Well that was just a joke, but why you dont do releases like Buda team does every ready ship is avalaible for download?

Well actually this doesn't matter me, but I'm just curious.
And after long wait our waiting will be rewarded, thanks to you.

I'm not a fan of releasing the ship right away for a number of reasons:

1) As our team goes, we work on alot of ships at once and we don't finish any of them until they are all ready to be finished. We're still trying to better organize this production line but it works fairly well and its prefered, especially when its a ship that we have to test concepts on before we can actually finalize it (ie. Thunderbolts centerline pulse cannon, the WhiteStar, model size, etc).

2) Its much more difficult to balance a ship when its by itself. The key to balancing is not looking at one ship, but a whole bunch of vessels at the same time. Since Release 1, we've revised the stats to most vessels. In some cases most of you may never even notice the difference, in other cases its a big change and hopefully for the better. This is an ongoing process. If we released the Thunderbolt now for instance, I wouldn't be half done with making tweaks to the ship. When the final release came, everyone would be annoyed because the ship stats have changed so much and the fighter doesn't perform like it used to (for better or worse it doesn't matter). I don't like to balance in micro, I prefer macro. I throw as many ships in as possible, I assign and guesstimate their relative abilities and I make it work IN THE GRAND SCHEME of things. This can't be done if we release 1 ship at a time. Think of balancing as a marble in a funnel....it doesnt' just roll down into the center, it spins around the side and gets closer and closer to the center. When it does hit the center, its "perfect" but until then, its just rolling around the outside.

3) If we release the Thunderbolt tommorow and the Midwinter next week, and someone misses the T-Bolt release and downloads the Midwinter separately then they may or may not have a T-Bolt table entry and they sure won't have the T-Bolt model. The game will crash, and they will be mad at us. By keeping things to full scale releases, we pretty much eliminate the confusion and table version conflicts that we would otherwise have. Incremental upgrades (everything from before + new or + patch) would also cause the problem and would have people with more download problems than they do at the moment.

So thats why. We respect the Buda team, they do amazing work, but we are going to do it our own way and we like it that way.
