Do any of you think that there will be a b5 game made at all. I think that [v] should make it they could do a brillant job.

Volition can't even get the rights to produce a sequel to FreeSpace 2....what makes you think they could get Babylon 5.

Unfortunatley Sierra hold the rights to the B5 franchise. Not even JMS can change that as Warner own the contract.

Which is a shame as Sierra have done bugger all with it excpet get peoples hopes up.

As for Volition, yeah they'd do a great job but as mentioned earlier - if they get the go-ahead to produce another space-simulation I think they'll concertrate on FS3.

Again unfortuntaly, Interplay put all they're money into promoting Descent 3 not FS2 and IMHO Descent 3 was complete kak.

Hopefully, now that THQ are (I think) running the show, things might change. I mean, look at X-BTF and X-Tension (published by THQ in Europe)

Actually, SIERRA agreed to sell the rights RIGHT AFTER the Sector14 Studios "re-make the game" attempt failed.

They are indeed evil.

As for an offical B5 game... talking of the subject is like pushing a spear thru my heart

hehe, but we have such KICK ASS MODS and FREEWARE projects! Who cares now a game is made... WE, the fans will make it happen... just support the:

- Freespace 2 mod
- The IFH Space Combat Sim ( http://ifh.dax.ru/ )
- The B5 Space Fighter Sim ( http://mods.firstones.com/b5fsf/ ).
- The billions of Homeworld mods
- My subspace mod ( http://subspace.omar-3d.com )

They've got a way better engine thats 4 years newer than ours

I'll totally give them that. I have no idea what the game is going to be like, but it LOOKs good. We've got a good game under us...the dynamics are totally there....its just that the engine is starting to show its age.

As far as I know warner bros arn't giving out licences at the moment so no matter what company what to produce a game they won't be able to sell it...

I've had an idea to make a conversion of a game a year ago to babylon 5 but decided not to. The game was Star Trek:Klingon academy,the graphics on this game is simply stunning and would make a graet mod. What so great about this game is that unlike other sim games, is that you can actually blow parts of ships off,instaed of those partical streams!EXAMPLE:Your in a klingon battle crusier you decloak over the Excelsoir and fire five torpedos,the first 4 blow a hole through and the last will just fly throgh, simply stunning!

have you played Dominion Wars yet? i thought it was brilliant... it was just too short and there were a few features they could have done better if they had the time.

same thing with the torps though

I tried out that IFH tech demo, and it indeed looks very promising. Just wish I wouldn't have to go out and buy a new video card whenever it comes out. And it made me realize I need to go and get a good joystick someday. Playing sims with a Sidewinder gamepad is a pain!
