vorlon homeworld

i gather the reason why they didn't head striaght for the vorlon homeworld when earth got the plague so why not ask nicely to lyta??? that how to spell it??????? anyway surely she would be able to get through - ok i know this has nothing to do with the game but alot of people here seem to be big b5 fans

Posted by Jabu on 03-10-2001 11:05 PM:

No, she wouldn't. Not with others, anyway.

The Vorlon homeworld is off-limits for a million years. The Vorlons left massive defence systems, that destroy any ship that goes anywhere near the systems.

Posted by KillMeNow on 03-10-2001 11:18 PM:

why are you so sure? has it come up in some epsidoe? - but i'm sure with enough ships they could overwhelm the defenses they didn't do to bad in the final battle with the shadows and vorlons

Posted by Jabu on 03-10-2001 11:20 PM:

Yes, it did come up in an episode that it was off-limits for a million years. And I'm sure the Vorlon have some BIG-ass guns around the system, and hyperspace detection that will cause any ship to be blasted from a long range as soon as it jumps in.

its in season 5 thats all i can remember, its in one of lyta "programmed" visions.....

Posted by KillMeNow on 03-11-2001 12:04 AM:

hmm yeah i didn't pay as much attension to season 5 it wasn't nearly as good - ivonava should have been in command of b5

garibaldi shouldn't have gone off the rails etc

oh thinking of invonva i heard somewhere she was in a command of an experimental destroyer??????? warlock or something even cooler like teh shadow hybrid???????

Posted by Redstar on 03-11-2001 12:32 AM:

Lyta was gone by that time. Her and G'Kar split during the mid fifth season.

ACtA happened after all of that. Several years after the the Alliance was moved to Minbar. Remeber Sheridan had to go back to B5 to find the thief chic.

Posted by KillMeNow on 03-11-2001 12:41 AM:

i'm quite sure lyta could be found if really need to be

Posted by Jabu on 03-11-2001 12:54 AM:

And Ivanova was in charge of the Warlock class destroyer Titans.

Posted by KillMeNow on 03-11-2001 01:41 AM:

was in command? what happened to her or the titans or both?

Posted by Jabu on 03-11-2001 01:55 AM:

My god man! Did you never watch Sleeping in Light?

Okay... Ivanova was getting pretty old, and she was either an Admiral or General, can't remember which. This is 20 years from B5 time, because Sheridan is dying.

I don't know what happened to Titans. It was either destroyed in the many wars, and Ivanova got away. Or, more likely, it's still serving as a support ship to newer destroyers

Posted by KillMeNow on 03-11-2001 03:25 AM:

i did see all of season 5 but i really didn't think much of so i didn't pay much attension or watch them more than once
