VWatch at ECTS

Okay, I'm here. Finally. After a hellish 5 hour train journey, I made it into ECTS. Neither THQ nor Volition are exhibitors this year, so I'll be bringing you general information about the show.

The first thing I noticed when looking through the list of exhibitors is that there are a lot more of the smaller developers and publishers at this year's ECTS. The big hardware manufacturers are still out in force, however, as demonstrated by the nVidia bag I was handed just moments after getting off the train.

Some of the big developers are still in evidence, however. Blizzard are holding two 'invitation only' press conferences today, and I haven't been invited, but from peering over the shoulder of some German dude as he updated his website from the press office, I can tell you that their big announcement is 'World of WarCraft', a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG).

I'm going to check out some hardware now; more updates to come.
