wow...i luuurrvvvv it guys.

.......vry good,
and very challenging.....
i havent picked up fs2 for over a year now...getting back in the cockpit has been a trial in itself!
i must confess.....i lost both transports!!!! omg!
those nial's r fast!
(it would be easier if there were retrofitted rocket launchers!)
I aint used to just primary weapons!..took me ages to kill them nial's.

Outstanding work TBP team...outstanding.

Yeah! I was also happy when it was released, but I was sad when I discovered who short demos campaign was, so I desited to make my own.

So when you play through that, you can get my (and few others) made campaign from:

May that provide motivation to all of those people who thought that the demo campaign was just enough to tantalise you before you realise that there are only five missions. All of these people can take heart in that people with motivation and time (and no small amount of skill and patience) like Lady Rose can produce more quality goods and then let everyone else have the pleasure of playing them.

Have a go at creating missions yourself

It only takes minutes to learn how (but many weeks/months to master).

Yes making with Fred2 is easy and sometimes fun. Check tutorial trough it gives a lot of knowledge and you get nice mission (note tutorial is for orginal FS2, if you want to learn with TBP ships and weapons take a look in my missions or TBP missions) and if there is anything to ask, just ask. There aren't stupid questions.

And thanks Triggy for your praises.

It's slightly possible I'll release a mission on my birthday this Friday (Feb 1st) to satisfy people's cravings a little. It depends on if I can get someone to do me a really big favor first.

(sucking up to the dev's).............
How could you possibly make it better! hehe

Will you be putting rockets in ?..for us losers that aint had much practice with just primary guns?

Thanks LadyRose..I'll do that...

I remember when i first completed FS2 and i thought wow This is brill.....i noticed that there was a file Fres2 so i loaded it up and i saw it was a level builder......
I tried to make a level...but,well,urm......the shivans didnt seem to have any AI so i got bored..i hate reading u see,..I'm one of those guys that gets a new toy and 'never' reads the instructions.
I want to play.

So now I'll have to read Fred2 doc's properly
erm a quick question........
Do i use the fred 2 as normal or do i have to inport the B5 ships n stuff or is it already there???
"give us a quick walkthrough of say a paragraph? plz ? plz ? pretty please, with sugar on top.....I'll buy u a banana for xmas...i promise!

Secondary weapons do exist, the EA Venom for one. However, remember that Starfuries aren't exactly missile boats ... you can carry like four or something. Still, in a pinch, pretty nice to slam a Nial with one of those.
(I modified a mission or two to play with 'em)

With the mod installed Fred 2 ought to utilise the modded ships, etc. automatically when loaded. You won't be able to edit standard FS2 levels though with the mod in place (you have to delete your /data folder to do this again - not before backing it up ).

Marcus, once you're in FRED2 hit F1 and you'll find the help document pops up. You don't have to read all of it, but I'd recommend paying special attention to the Extended Walkthrough section.

FRED2 reads all the same stuff that FreeSpace 2 in-game does. There will be more secondary weapons available for Release 2...so not to fear about the selection options either.

Whee!

What kind favor, Slasher?
If it's for Fred2, just contact me... Lets make this easier if any of you have some prob's with Fred2, just contact me and I do what I can do.

Well I think that everyone knows my e-mail address by now.

Heh! Never place work and pleasure together... Hey! Wait I have great pleasure of helping others and making mission's with Fred2, but that banana thing, well I guess that you know.

Smile

Nope, not a FRED2 issue per se, but thanks for the offer. Right now Black Sheep is helping me out with what I need. And the mission probably won't be out by my birthday as I had planned because I started too late.
