I don't mean to be the newbie who comes in and asks all the stupid questions which have been asked/answered a million times before, but I can't find any news on this anywhere else.

Has there been any recent info about a Freespace 3, I'm just curious as to if they have begun development, if so any sort of ETA. Thanks.

No, as far as we know, development on FS3 has not begun. Volition was recently purchased by THQ, and the rights to the FS franchise are owned by Interplay, so at this point its kind of hard to say when or if development on an FS3 will begin.

Well.... If you check the R128 or FSW news, it looks like FS3 has gone from doomed to six-feet under....

It truely is depressing news.
But until fs3, why don't we try to make due with fs2, and d:fs:tgw?
