Own policy of VW

Yes, I wanna talk about VW´s owning policy...
They own topics with the subject "help", but they don´t own the lemon awards or the TaS mutant: "I challenge anyone..."

This scares me...

Did you even read what was in that topic that said "help"? It was owned because Chucker redirected the guy to a better place, hence making the topic useless...

Bink! Point for WildWolf.

We usually don't own topics unless they become useless or offensive in some way. Some would agree that the Lemon Awards and I challenge anyone have become useless, but I think every board needs an outlet for insanity somwhere, like TaS on the VBB.

Yes, I agree, but when is a topic going to be useless? When the last post was senseless?

Posted by Chucker on 09-07-2000 12:50 PM:

In my opinion a topic becomes pointless whenever it totally strays away from its original meaning and becomes full of people chatting about nothing...

Also, it can become pointless if a person asks for help and the question is answered.

Weird! I got an email notification with the text "Remora has just replied...", but Chucker replied to it, um weird.
Oh, and that sounds reasonable

If by chance a topic gets owned and there doesn't appear to be a good reason....e-mail myself or WildWolf and we'll deal with the situation as need be. Usually there is a good reason however, so this shouldn't be something that I expect to be happening.
