Anyone else seeing this?

That green around the station. Is anyone else seeing this in game? I also see this around the Nial fighters when at ranges greater than around 150. Less than 150, it's ok. Happens in every mission with Nials and stations.
Just wounder if this is a common thing, or if I should worry about my comp or demo copy.

Yeah... cards except for the Voodoo series display green (pure green 0,0,255) as transparent. ... obviously this tranparency was used for the lodding. Just find the texture file in the VP file for (I think) LOD3, and replace the green with black.
The B5 team will proably release an optional fix with the next patch or something.

I really don't have any experience with V3's but I suggest you to try out several drivers. If latest does not work, then try second to latest...
Also overclocking may cause texture corruptions...

I also have voodoo 3 and I do not have the problem. Try to change the drivers as mentioned above. I installed all the newest drivers and am running the game with 3dfx Glide, not direct3d.

The green is transparant on all video cards....except some of the Voodoo line apparently. We're you using Glide or D3D?
We used this effect to optomize LODs as much as possible.

I did some experiments for a cloaked ship, and true green textures were showing up as semi-translucent white..... Voodoos are known to have probs' with this (I'm sure of it), although it could be one particular graphics mode.... certainly, on a V4 with Direct 3d on 32-bit colour, green does not show up as transparent (or green), as I described above.
That said, I've never been able to detect my card and use Glide ('ceopt at low res, which I've never used), so it could be that glide does help.
[EDIT]
or you could simply set the LOd distances so that the 'green' LOD is at, say 1500, and LOD4 at 1501 (or 1500 too?)- you'd get a performance hit though, as the higher LODs would be in more frequent use.

It appears that your three dimensional accellerator card is incorrectly handling the transparency settings for the game known as Freespace Two.
It is my recommendation that you remove your three dimensional accellerator card from your computational machine and hit it several times with a mallet.
I thank you for your cooperation on the above matter.
