How many polys am I aloud on a station mesh?

I just ask cos I am doing her primarially as a high poly mesh, with the possibility of conversion into a low poly if the game needs another space station.

er the High poly is 66000+ polys so far, but is should be possible to get that number down by quite a bit if need be.

BTW that is only the back considering I have done about 2 days work recently!

Plus she is my main priority so I will hazard a guess at mesh nearing completion within a month (give or take!)

I recommend 2000 tops. Our B5 station is 2600, but we allowed this cos the B5 station must be accurate and well, its the star of the show isnt it! If you looking at a minbari station make it 2000 max, to eb honest who knows what the minbari station looks like exactly , take liberties and make the station "roughly" correct for the sake of the poly count. No-one will question the geometry of something they have little idea about. This is my philosophy on the textures for the ring station, no-one really knows to be honest. So im making them look good, but not necessarily fully authentic, just similar.
