Star Wars Stuff

ok starting new thread since that last one getting abit full of large pics due soley to me - so i thought a new one is in order

i have done the ISD textures to my own statisfaction now - there are people out there who can do it better than me but i thik this is good enough - so unless this meets with overwhelming resistance this is what the finshed modelw ill look like except with turrets and probally afe wminor changes to make it freespace happy.

Good idea with the new topic...
I'd still say that the text is hard to read (especially the top row). I'd suggest filling in the letters with half-transparent green to match the borders - and/or redoing it with either a Star Wars or the FS font...

its not finsihed yet - i'm just now happy with the look and textures - its not freespace happy yet at least not all of it - it also has no turrets and only 1 lod and no debris but that doesn't take longwhen its ready i will realese the pof and maybe basic table but not releaseing the turbolasers at least not that one its for another project so i'll make something basic up for them if i do anythign otherwise you'll have to make something yourself for it

well,im a patient pilot.Ill wait until the entire thing is Freespace friendly then you can send it to me.

until then,if there is anyone out there with FS-friendly mods of ties fighters,interceptors,or bombers,please send them to me.

i'd also like to be able to FLY some ties.

ok only 65 turrets but its enough i cant be bother to do the rest - rapidly losing interest - having to many problems lower the poly count and having ti still work in fs2

all i need now is a few more empire stuff like some imperial freighters,cruisers,ties adn the death star.(come on,it cant ALL be just ISD's)

ok to give myself a break from the isd i did the tie interceptor - the windows need abit of work- i made the spars to dark so you can barely see and the panels shouldn't be striped like that - supposed to be all over like the bits with more grey - well nevermind

man,is there anything you CANT do??

if you've ever played starwars:Rebellion,you'll know that there are many more ships in the starwars empire.there was an anti-fighter cruiser,some corvette sized ship called the interdictor i think,and many frieghters.

Boct,my campaign takes place LONG after the trilogy.actually it doesnt really have anything to do with the trilogy.the Rebel alliance has been destroyed,and the empire is trying to find a way to conquer more space.so,they develop something LIKE the knossos(i did NOT say they built a knossos,they make something LIKE it),and they launch there initial attack just after the GTVA manages to stop the PHOENIX SYNDICATE(a nasty group of pirates who want the GTVA to give them a couple of systems in the outer territories to themselves,but because the GTVA has had to populate these systems in order to recover from the loss of capella,they are denying the PS the systems they want,and a a war ensues.

meanwhile,after the PS are defeated,the Empire comes along and says that these systems now belong the us,surrender or be destroyed.the first the GTVA clears out regulus for the empire after they get their asses kicked,then the GTVA counter-attacks,and its all out WAR!

need help - anyone know the true secret to getting docking paths and points to work? very occasioanlly it works with me but most time it crashes the game and thrusters need help with them too - once i know this the tie fighter will be complete - 3 lods - debris - subsystems - weapons glows - finsihed unless people really object to my latest texturing efforts if so then who ever complains gets to retexture it

i dont know why the docks not working - i copyed the $path etc etc from the ulysess put 2 point s in pointing directly up 1 just infront of the other put the - one thing the path info should be on the further back point yeah????? or is it the path number that matters this could be where i'm going wrong

now as for the bomber - tomcat volenteered to do one when hes not busy since his will be alot better than anything you or i can come up with i vote we let him do it
