FreeSpace: GFS Problems?

Jennings at GroundFreeSpace reports that Stomped has decided to give GFS one week to find a new host as they are dumping them from the server. Here's what Jennings posted:

About a week ago, Ground FreeSpace received a letter from Stomped. The letter informed us that in roughly one week or so, our hosting would be terminated when Stomped moved to their new servers. They claim the reason was because Stomped plans on moving in the direction of First Person Shooters. FreeSpace, and Ground FreeSpace for that matter, are not FPS's.

Needless to say, we began searching for a new host. We were accepted by GameSeek.com. So, for now, everything appears to be alright. We just thought that everyone should know about this and that we will be experiencing some bumps in the near future.

This is unfortunate news and definately puts a big X beside Stomped for giving such short notice on the closing of webspace like that. Hopefully all goes well for Jennings and the rest of the GFS crew.

Hopefully all those leads I gave Jennings for a new host at least helped him some.
